5 Million Green + 2 Million Dry = Harvest 2012 Wraps UP!

 5 MILLION GREEN + 2 MILLION DRY! It’s well into October and Harvest 2012 is concluding at ARO Pistachios, Inc. Harvesting pistachio orchards by the shaking and subsequent hand-picking phases performed by ARO Pistachios, Inc. and on-going mechanized processing phases are complete. With the help of our adept team, we are proud to announce our Harvest 2012 STATS: ARO Pistachios, Inc. has processed 5,000,000 lbs. of pistachios in “green weight” and 2,000,000 lbs. of pistachios in “dry weight.” Our behind-the-scenes night work is illustrated here in a few snap shots taken during the night shift.

Trailblazing in Orchards: New Harvest Methods

Nearing the conclusion of Harvest 2012 ARO Pistachios, Inc. is bursting with pistachios! ALL silos are full! The warehouse is full! Shipments are being fulfilled ASAP to make room for final portions of pistachios from the orchards which are direct results from the concluding harvesting method known as “hand picking” performed by ARO Pistachios, Inc. We are completing our hand picking phase that collects the portion of pistachio nuts which are not collected by shaker machinery and would remain unused on the branches. This extra step accounts for an additional yield varying between 2–25% of pistachios which would be left on the tree

Hot summer pistachio flavors

ARO Pistachios, Inc. is working on some HOT flavors for the HOT 2012 summer. (It is already 110f in Terra Bella, Calif.!) This is indeed the dry, arid High Desert climate necessary for cultivating and growing pistachio trees. The photo shows what was left of the Chili Lemon sample.
