Spring is definitely in the air! Dramatic foliage and cellular growth


April 1st, 2014, Pistachio tree development following recent rain.

Spring has sprung and the ARO Pistachio orchards are booming with lush foliage and cellular activity. This year’s meager water supply due to drought conditions hasn’t impaired growth judging (visually) from the bud bursts and surge of leaf growth since receiving recent rains earlier this spring. Pistachio trees welcome more rain and we will check back on these trees for regular progress reports.
