Coolest Avg Winter Temps + Most Rain = Hopeful Harvest

June 1st temperatures are soaring into typical summerlike 100+f degree weather. With both the highest volume of January rainfall and coolest January temperatures over the past four years, pistachio harvest 2016 is expected to be a magnificent crop.

ARO Pistachios, located in Terra Bella, Calif., is situated 10 miles south of Porterville, also situated in Tulare County, in the eastern portion of San Joaquin Valley. This area is also classified as D4 "Exceptional Drought" zone by Western Regional Climate Center.
